Now that you have picked your puppy let me first thank you for trusting in Darlin’ Doggies with such an important decision. We honestly try to set ourselves apart from other breeders. So many breeders have bad reputations and we really do our best to provide not only the absolute cutest puppies but more importantly healthy, intelligent and well socialized puppies. Please rest easy knowing that all of our dams and sires are genetically health tested and cleared from all genetic diseases. We are so excited you have chosen one of our puppies and we will be available to you years down the road to answer any questions and to receive any pictures you'd like to share with us.

Your Puppy's Nutrition
We have done intense research into dog food nutrition and supplements and have come up with the two best on the market.  We use pawTree dog food and Nuvet supplements for our dogs and puppies.  We believe in putting in the extra money, time and effort to ensure you receive an amazing healthy puppy that has a great jump start at life.  One of the most important things for doggy parents to understand is that your puppy’s diet is the most important part of being a doggy parent. Your puppy will be on pawTree Chicken and Oatmeal recipe. We have tried many types of food in the past including some of the most expensive out there and I was seeing recall after recall, I wasn’t having firm stools, their coats were dull. Feeding Your Puppy
Standard Breeds
For our standard size puppies they will be used to being fed twice a day, morning and evening.  We give them about 1/2 a cup each serving.  So 1 cup per day.  By the time they are 12 weeks they eat about 1 1/4 cup per day. Fun Fact: There are about 44 cups of food in a 10 lb bag of food.

Mini Breeds
For our mini breeds they get 1/4 cup each serving morning and evening. For the mini breeds it is good to keep some canned puppy food on hand for the first few days incase refuse to eat (this sometimes happens because of the new environment and changes). We use Purina One Puppy Food - Chicken. Just mix in a table spoon with their dry food.

Grooming
As you probably already know we also own a grooming salon in Concord. What you may not know is your puppy will receive a first free bath PLUS will receive 10% off grooming every visit!! As you know grooming and doodles/poodles go hand in hand. It is VERY important to get your puppy used to the grooming process at an early age so we recommend scheduling your first bath in about 2 weeks and then your can schedule your a puppy trim aka tidy groom a few weeks later. Our Health Guarantee
We give a one or three year genetic health guarantee. We will extend the health guarantee to three years if you continue on the food and supplements we believe in.   Why is this? We believe a dog that goes to it's new home on a great food and supplement will live a longer and healthier life versus a dog that gets fed a low grade food like Pedigree etc with a ton of fillers and no supplements.  WE CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH THAT NUTRITION AND SUPPLEMENTS IS KEY TO A HEALTHY AND LONG LIFE FOR YOUR PUPPY! We want what is best for our puppies. We worm our puppies every two weeks and treat for other parasites along the way. The puppies are seen at the vet at Coddle Creek Animal Hospital by Dr. Tanner (he is amazing) in Concord between 6-7 weeks and thoroughly examined and given their first round of shots. You will receive this paperwork as well.

Pesky Parasites
Different kinds of worms and coccidia are very common in puppies. Worms come from the mommy's mammary glands even after treating. Coccidia lives in soil and is very hard to get rid of. We have a schedule for each litter of puppies to pre treat for several things and normally they are never an issue. Your vet will also deworm your next couple of vet visits. It is common to see dead worms in their fecal and even though it isn't pleasant it is a good thing. Keep in mind they are not life threatening and your vet will continue deworming and doing fecal exams to be sure they are rid of them.

Early Neurological Stimulation Socialization
We use the Puppy Culture method to raise our puppies. We think getting a head start with each and every puppy is very important. This gives them such a great start at life and helps them to become a smart and eager to learn furry family member. What is the Puppy Culture way you ask? Let me explain...

When will my Puppy be due for the Next Round of Vaccines?
The next round of vaccines can be done 3 weeks after their first round. The vaccines include distemper (kennel cough/bordetella), adenovirus, parainfluenza, and parvovirus. We highly recommend getting the influenza vaccine for your puppy during his second and third round of vaccines.

I also wanted to mention that if you refer us to your friends and family and they buy a puppy you get $100 off your puppy or I will send you $100. We are a small family owned business and most of our business comes from word of mouth which is the best kind business. When people meet our puppies out in public they are normally in awe. I get lots of calls this way and it’s so appreciated! We also get a lot of referrals from Facebook, Instagram and Nextdoor app. Another thing we offer our customers is that if you will post a pic of your puppy on Facebook/Instagram and the Nextdoor app and announce where you are getting him/her from with our website and phone number we will take $50 off at pickup. Just screen shot both and text to me. We also give $200 off for a second puppy if you decide to buy two or another one down the road.

Training
More exciting news!  We work hand in hand with an amazing training team at Dog Training Elite. Shawn and Sharon do a 5 day training in their home working with them on simple commands, socialization, potty and the big one, kennel training. They can leave from our home to training before going home to you. As you know separating a puppy from its siblings is a challenge. He works with them to get them through the first several days and does an amazing job. They charge $895 and this is including $300 that goes towards a more advanced training when the puppy is a little older. So many of our customers have used them and I have heard nothing but 5 star reviews from them. Boarding
If you need boarding for your puppy we have good friends that just opening an amazing dog boarding and daycare facility. The also offer pickup and drop off service. Spay and Neuter Contract
You are buying your puppy as a pet and therefor he or she should be spayed or neutered by the age of one. I recommend that you wait until their body is fully developed to prevent things like hip dysplasia or elbow issues down the road. (On occasion I will agree to breeding rights for an extra fee). If we find out you are breeding we reserve the right to claim said dog and the monies earned in your breeding purposes.

Right of First Refusal
If for any reason you are unable to keep your puppy down the road we reserve the right to have the puppy back. We will always take our puppies back but depending on the age, if and when it resells and other things we can only sometimes give a partial refund. Taking a puppy back into our kennel is a huge risk to our other puppies and has to be seen and cleared by a vet before doing so. You must agree that your puppy WILL NOT end up in the pound for ANY REASON. Please understand the puppy stage is NOT easy and is not a good excuse to want to return a puppy. It does not last forever and will pass. Please be sure you and your spouse are on board PRIOR to giving a deposit. Also please be sure you are in good enough health to take for a puppy for 15 years +

Last but not least .... Pickup Day
We typically have pickup day on the Sunday closest to their ready date. Pickups are held at our grooming salon located at 355 George W. Liles Parkway NW Concord Nc but we will schedule a specific time closer to pick up day. We also sell pawTree products in the salon and a couple other things. We prefer cash payments but we also accept Zelle, Cashap, Venmo, and Apple pay. If using Venmo it must be friends and family or it will charge me a fee. We can accept credit but we have to charge the 2.9% fee that we get charged. We do not accept checks. If you live close by holding them on your lap is fine or you can buy a little travel kennel.
